Six Day Trip to Panda Home
Day 1 Home/Chengdu
Fly to Chengdu, your guide and driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to downtown Chengdu, check in the hotel.
This afternoon the students will be split into small groups to walk around People’s Park& Kuanzhai Alleys, and each group will carry out a list of language tasks to interact with the locals like practice calligraphy from the locals, ask the way in Mandarin, post the cards in the post office, buy the fruit in the local market ,etc. And this evening we will enjoy a face change show.
Day2 Local Village Exploring
This morning we will drive about 2hs to the outskirt of Chengdu, to explore the local village here and carry out the activities such as dumpling making, Tea picking here . After our activity in the village, we go back to Chengdu and will watch the famous Sichuan Opera Performance
Day3 Chengdu/Leshan Giant Buddha Statue
We will drive about 2.5 hours to visit the Buddha Statue by boat and late afternoon we go back to Chegndu to experience paper making activity.
Day4 Mt.Qingcheng Walk/Dujiangyan Irrigation Project
In the morning we drive about 1.5hs(70km) to Mt Qingcheng, we will carry out a 4 hours’ walking tour in Mt.Qingcheng, after that we move to Dujiangyan Irrigation Project. In the past 2000 years Sichuan gains the reputation of the Land of Abundance due to this project, which stops the floods and droughts and irrigates thousands of fields. We will spend our afternoon exploring the secret of the Land of Abundance.
Day5 Dujiangyan Panda Base/Chengdu
In the morning, we drive about 1.5 hours(70km)to Dujiangyan Panda Base for the whole day volunteering work, we will follow the schedule from the Panda Breeding Centre as below; After our panda volunteer work, we drive to nearby Jiezi old town for a treasure hunt activity before driving back to Chengdu.
Day6 Chengdu/Home
This morning we drive about 30mintues to Bamboo Garden, we will spend our morning there and follow a local Gongfu Master to practice Chinese Gongfu; after that we go to Wuhou Temple to learn Three Kingdoms’ culture and history, and Jinli Street will be our last stop before fly back home.
